Parthener Olivia Pinder, DrPH, MD, MPH, CPH, CGH, a recently appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Health at New York Medical College, is a Doctor of Public Health employed by the Bureau of Early Intervention, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Her interest in early childhood development stems from over six years of research on the importance of parental/caregiver-child interaction in and out of the school setting. Dr. Pinder has presented about early childhood development internationally in Guyana and Jamaica. Most recently, she presented her research on early childhood development in Guyana as part of the Disparities and Inequities in Global Health Poster Session of the International Health program at the American Public Health Association's 2023 Annual Meeting and Expo in Atlanta, GA. Furthermore, Dr. Pinder has worked with bilingual (Spanish) families, activities, and programs in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Spain.
